My project will give the students an opportunity to be creative while socializing with their classmates at playtime. Playtime is a very important part of Kindergarten. Playtime develops independent thinkers, problem-solvers and collaborators. The best part is that while they think they are playing, I know they are actively learning. The items that I would like to purchase for the class are interactive. Project items include Magnatiles, Dominoes, beanbags, and cards. For example, the students will work as a team and build the ultimate fort. After the fort is built, they will be able to play inside of it. Many of my current toys are very old and are hand me downs, flea market, and garage sale purchases. The students enjoy even the old toys, but I am sure new high-quality items will really pique their interest and enjoyment.
