We have recently started learning about positive behavior and implementing it within our school. We believe that we can change behavior and overall student outlook with positive rewards. Instead of negative, we are using positive redirection and recognition. Humans respond to positive remarks and rewards. When students hear negative nagging and only experience negativity, naturally they won't be engaged in learning! If you point out positive behavior and other learning, students will rise up to the occasion. Even though this project is for a small tangible item, it represents something much bigger. If a student is partaking in a negative behavior and the teacher notices positive behavior and gives a sticker to those who are on task, the negative behaviors will change!
