I have so much debt from buying things for my students and our classroom. I don't regret any of it, but it would be nice to be able to afford a classroom that students can thrive in (I know...but a teacher can dream!) There are a few items we are still missing and I'm hoping with a little support, we can get a few essentials in our room. I am asking for help in creating a space conducive for learning & in doing so helping my students soar! The Student mailbox is so essential, right now we have a file system, but in first grade, our fine motor skills aren't perfect so we often get frustrated! I want to build independence instead of always putting papers away for them, as they feel defeated! It may seem like a silly wish list item, but a mailbox will truly help our classroom function at its highest potential! Next, I believe in learning comfortably and that is why I have flexible seating options in my classroom. The wobble seats are a fabulous flex seating option that I just can't afford on my own. They allow younger students to get wiggles out by bouncing up and down and rocking sideways- these are safer than the typical wobble stool & I have seen great things from others who have them!
