We are trying to expand our indoor greenhouse to the outdoors for our Golda Growers Club. Currently our students are involved in growing organic herb and vegetable plants from seed in our indoor greenhouse. We then sell these plants to parents and community members each spring for their own gardens at an extremely affordable price. This project is to begin our own organic garden where these plants can grow and create produce for our students to care for and harvest. These garden beds are opportunities for our students to learn how to become urban gardeners and create healthy food for their families. Our long-term goal is to have at least 15 raised garden beds. The beds will be placed next to our parking lot adjacent to our school and will be used to provide healthy food for our students and families. The entire space will accommodate over 30 4' x 8' beds, so we have a great area to expand and grow into.
