Chromebooks give the students the opportunity to develop the skills they will need on a computer. It will also create confidence in them that will help them master the state testing when the time comes. Students will be able to take charge of their learning, meaning that when they are done with an assignment they can move on to the next assignment or practice their skill in educational programs such as IXL. Students who struggle will also benefit because they can watch short videos to explain the lesson in different ways. Students will have the chance to improve their typing. Lastly, students that struggle with reading will be able to follow along in a novel as they listen to the audio of it. This improves fluency and grows their vocabulary.
