My students need extra engagement and excitement in order to be willing to participate in our curriculum based activities. While we do lots of crafts, play games, and use other multi-sensory and interactive tools, my students would still benefit from more individualized, differentiated technology. My hope is that through acquiring these Amazon Fire Tablets, we will be able to bring even more individualized authentic learning experiences to all of the students that I work with throughout the day. My students will be using the tablets to enhance their learning. They will be using them as individual interactive white boards, as well as to create interactive books and videos to show their knowledge and learning. We will be using them to support their reading through interactive games and sites using phonics, fluency, and comprehension skills. Our Math lessons will be easily able to be differentiated and the students will be able to enhance their learning through content based math games. I will be able to make all of my lessons more interactive with the use of the tablets. My main goal is for them to take even more pride in their work and be even more engaged in their learning.
