My students need a place to relax and regenerate when given independent work time. I want to create a space in our room where they can work in spaces other than a desk or a table. Adding a rug, a bean bag, balance balls, and a few "Go-Anywhere" chairs could change the environment of our classroom into a positive and peaceful space. When students are given the time to work in a calming environment, it sets a positive tone for clear and thoughtful learning. I plan to use these items to enhance a typical classroom to make it feel comfortable and inviting. The rug adds an element of comfort to the classroom. The bean bag, "Go-Anywhere" chairs, and balance balls add an exciting way to get work done in the classroom. The combination of these will greatly enhance our environment.
