My goal is to have 2-4 iPads in the classroom for students to utilize in small groups and workstations. During this time, we will build their 21st century skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. Based on various research-based apps my students will have opportunities to listen, record, develop phonics, learn new vocabulary and they will have access to supplemental texts. Additionally, they will be able to research, communicate and create various projects to present throughout the year. We are in a mostly low-income/high-poverty school district, with many of my students facing several challenges both in and out of the classroom. We strive to make school an enjoyable experience where all students feel safe and engaged. As their teacher, my goal is to foster their curiosity and love of learning. Your donation will help make learning more accessible and more engaging for each and every one of my amazing DL First Graders
