My children in my classroom have language impairments and learn much differently from their typical peers. 2 iPads and 1 Chromebook help bridge the gap of what learning objectives I am trying to get them to reach. I am able to utilize online portfolios, timers, communication system and all ELA common core curriculum using the iPads and Chromebooks. My students are able to use reading programs, math programs, assessments, and green screen apps to venture out to places like space, Africa or the zoo! We use iPads and Chromebooks with learning in mind and they are not used for video watching alone. My children are able to scan QR codes to access apps I assign to them and this has been a great shift in responsibility and accountability.
My students show amazing progress and accountability through the use of iPads and Chromebooks. Help them access this technology while they work in my classroom. The students can do many independent tasks in the classroom and are able to interact with various lessons while using technology.
Apple has amazing apps that will allow my students to have a voice. This iPad will allow us to download a speech app that gives them choices. It will allow to carry on a conversation with them as well. Asking them how they feel and tell us what is wrong or what they want.
I utilize many educational apps that track progress, communication system, standards-based and fun for my students. Having the devices in my classroom allows me to have more of my children in a particular learning tool at the same time. This will promote a more routine practice of using the tools in my classroom. With having these, I will have enough devices to have everyone on the same tool at the same.
