The purpose of this classroom meeting area is to engage my young students in the magic that is inspired by the love of reading cultivated in my classroom. The students will thrive in having an area where they can come together and delve into a good book. This will be a place where they can have genuine conversations about the content we are learning in class.....a place where they can gather in order to learn what happens next in a thrilling mystery novel.....a place to learn about other cultures and experience the joy of informational texts. My third grade students will also benefit from the close proximity necessary for communicating and sharing ideas in meaningful ways. The purpose of this classroom meeting area is to further our collectiveness as a family and a place to cultivate collaboration in a comfortable way.
