These tools are intended to be used at every level for my students. My students are demonstrating understanding at so many levels, from a Kindergarten level to 4th grade it an be hard to truly meet their needs or help all my learners at once. The lack of tools has been a challenge this year, and I have been struggling to use the materials I have been able to find on my own. Real math tools can make all the difference in a student's math growth. We have a math curriculum to use, but this requires math tools. I want my students to be able to learn fractions, multiplication and place value using tools that make the learning so authentic. Using real world tools helps my students to learn things the way they are meant to. I hope to provide these students with the chances to work their way to their grade level, and these tools are something I have found creates a pathway for the students to follow. I hope to use these materials in both small group and whole group settings, as the students teach themselves with the tools, experience learning in a more personal way, teach one another, and work with me to build on all they have learned.
