Technology has become an imperative component of everyday life, not excluding the elementary classroom. My students have school-issued Chromebooks and utilize them to practice math/reading fluency on a daily basis. Since students and instructors are required to wear masks in the classroom, it is often difficult to hear what is being said from a distance. Earbuds would not only allow my students to clearly hear the information, but they would also reduce the distractions that occur when each child is speaking at the same time. In addition, this would enhance their learning by enabling each child to develop independent work skills, progressing at his/her own pace. Not only will they be able to utilize the earbuds in the classroom, but they can also use them at home when practicing their math facts and literacy skills!
