If my project is fully funded I will use the materials to create a STEAM lab in my preK classroom. This lab will promote the exploration of biology, physics, engineering, technology, and mathematics. By utilizing concrete materials that are appropriate for four and five year olds, I aim to facilitate the construction of knowledge and encourage an early love of science. The children will learn about math and engineering by using geometric blocks and architect arches. Through the use of magnet wands, the students will explore physics concepts like force and attraction. I hope that this STEAM lab will be a place of wonder and discovery for all of my students.
