A Sensory Room is a specially designed room which combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These can include lights, colors, sounds, sensory soft play objects, aromas all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk. It is a quiet space dedicated to stimulating, developing and relaxing the senses. Unlike school classrooms. Where children are usually expected to watch and listen to the teacher. This room allows them the freedom and autonomy to explore the environment for themselves, in their own time, using all their senses. The decor might include low lighting and adjustable lighting projections, fiber optics, mirrors and bubble tubes; which we will try to purchase later.
