My first grade students will be able to utilize the new flexible seating options during their Daily 5, reading, and many other times during the school day. This will allow them to be able to pick an area where they are comfortable to learn. All children are unique in their learning styles. The classroom will be more inviting for my first graders. If the students are more comfortable and take ownership of their classroom, they are more apt to be successful academically. Young children have an extremely difficult time sitting still, these flexible seats will allow them to move and stay on task.
