Clapp's Class incoming kindergarten students are going to have an entirely different introduction to their first year of school. Although our district has yet to determine how our entry will look, we know for certain it will include 50% or more of distance learning. I want to supply my students with the necessary supplies they need to assist with their distance learning. Something as simple as a jumbo pencil to help with their fine motor grip is just just one of the tasks my students can enforce at home. During these difficult times, I don't want their families to have to worry about getting their student scissors, glue, pencils, notebooks, etc. when we would be providing such materials in school, under different circumstances. Many of my students come from low-income families and have had to endure hardships during these difficult times. Kindergarten is all about hands-on learning and having fun doing it! Because of the circumstances, our activities will be looking different inside and outside of the classroom and will be limited. It would be so fulfilling to provide them with such simple items that will help them learn from home while having fun!
