My 5th graders are eager to learn, but given the constraints of the classroom, many students struggle to focus having to sit at one desk all day. In fact, 20% of my students have ADHD, and they need to MOVE! My school is unable to provide classrooms enough money to purchase supplies and furniture students need to succeed. By providing stools, lap desks, beanbags, and fidget bands, ALL of my students will be provided a chance to move and choose what best fits their learning style. Over the years, I have learned that one of the best indicators to success is to have a warm and inviting classroom environment. My students are begging to have alternate places to sit. These materials will aide in creating the best environment before they venture off to middle school.
