I teach the READ 180/ System 44 Reading Program that is a direct, explicit, and multi-sensory program. This program helps remediate skills that students are struggling with. There is a technology piece that goes along with this program. The technology part of the program is adapted to each child's unique learning and remediates their weaknesses. Each child has their own individual iPad that they use to access the programs. Some of my students have a difficult time accessing the program because they don't have proper headphones to use while they are working on the program. If each student has their own pair of headphones, they will be able to access the Reading program with minimal distractions. At this time, many students don't have their own pair of headphones so they are constantly hearing what is on their neighbor's iPad.
