By using interactive whiteboards, I can create lessons that incorporate video, moving diagrams, and online content to help explain difficult material and to keep my students engaged. The greatest need for this is for math and science. It would provide easy access to manipulatives, easy maintenance, and end my never-ending battle with chalk! Additionally, it would allow me to present information in many different ways, making it possible for me to accommodate students with different learning styles. I try to constantly find ways to make learning fun and engaging. If students are engaged and attentive in the classroom: comprehension improves, test scores rise, curiosity increases. Students learn better and remember it! When children engage more in the classroom, learning always increases.
