At the advice of a few experienced teachers, these requested items are supplies that will play an instrumental part in the success of setting up my very first classroom as well as successful learning tools that will aid in my student's learning. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to start a new career as an educator, and I am so excited to start shaping young minds. As a recent graduate obtaining my Masters in Education I have an abundance of resources (and student loan debt) that I can't wait to utilize for my students. These supplies will be used to encourage learning at all levels and will help me focus on making sure my students have everything they need for a great year. As a Language Arts/Reading/Writing teacher, the Learning Resources, Games, and dry erase boards will be used for my students to have additional practice as a supplement during learning stations and small group time with me to check for understanding. Additionally, the globe will help as a visual aid during the social studies period. The additional supplies are those that will aid in keeping my classroom neat and organized for a positive learning environment as well as allow me to have supplies that some families may not be able to afford. I realize that teaching at a Title I school where most students come from low-income families will bring its challenges. But, I will not let that stop me. I plan to show them that they can achieve and become whatever they put their minds to.
