The computer headphones (with microphones) will help my ESL students a great deal. The school that I work at does not have the funding to buy these essential items for our English language learners. We are a Title I school, therefore, most of our students have parents who make a very low income. Furthermore, many of the students in our ESL program are refugees who don't know a word of English. The headphones will benefit all our students enormously. It's challenging and frustrating to learn a new language without working technology and the resources necessary. This year, my students have been using headphones that have all been broken and not replaced. Unfortunately, our resources are old, broken or non-existent. The headphones I'm requesting are vital as my students use Rosetta Stone and other excellent websites to learn English. Many of the sites that are helpful require students to listen as well as to speak. Having the new headphones will allow my students to make learning English a more pleasant experience all together.
