Have you ever tried to cozy up with a good book on a hard, cold chair? Not ideal, right? Why should my students have to do this? I want to create a comfortable learning environment that is welcoming to all readers. Many of my students find sitting in hard chairs uncomfortable and not conducive to learning. By offering flexible seating options students are able to choose where they would like to read, which will encourage them to settle in and enjoy a great book. Because my library may be the only place my students and their families access books, I want it to feel like a warm, inviting living space where people love to read.
