These headphones and basic school supplies will help the students in my class accomplish their assignments. We are a technology driven district with nearly all of our assignments and assessments being on Chromebooks but we include paper and pen assignments. Also, being in the special education department, our students are given the accommodation of test read aloud so we frequently use headphones throughout the day. A good portion of the students families cannot afford to purchase their children specific headphones, pens, pencils, and even paper. When our students have the basic neccessities for class they are more positive and caring towards their work. There have been times when students do not have headphones, this frustrates them because they struggle with reading comprehension and expression of grade level words. Teachers from other classrooms' have borrowed or used headphones from other teachers and they end up being damaged, misplaced, or give to another teacher to use. Having these headphones would make a huge difference for these students.
