Through low-level readers, our English language learners in High School can gain the knowledge and language experiences they need to be successful, hard-working and contributing members of our community. Each one of our students has dreams that can only be fulfilled in New York. Through guided reading, our students will learn to pronounce and comprehend the language. Through reading, they are exposed to the cultural nuances and norms. We will use these classic pieces to model academic writing and literacy skills that will promote their development in school, as they reach into and past college. Please help me encourage them to achieve and succeed beyond the now. They will truly take advantage and appreciate every word on each page of every book.

About my class
