Making music is an essential part of any elementary music classroom. Although I now have a few instruments in my classroom for students to play, I started off with a box of rhythm sticks and a couple less than stellar hand drums. These students deserve more. Kinesthetic, hands-on learning makes music enjoyable and fun for students who may otherwise not love music class. Many students ask me throughout the year "Can we play instruments?!" and until very recently I didn't have enough musical resources to say "yes". Although the situation has gotten much better, I still don't have a large variety of instruments, so I'm trying to correct that. Your contribution will make music accessible and fun for 235 students who are excited about learning.
