A student who reads 20 minutes per day will be exposed to 1.8 million words per year. By providing access for my students to grade-level texts and word study daily, they will be on track to feel confident in their reading growth and broaden their vocabulary. Reading provides the mind with nourishment. Knowledge is food for the mind and soul. It encourages us to think It increases our hunger for knowledge and our thirst to learn more.
