Some students just can't sit still. But that doesn't have anything to do with their capabilities or intelligence. I would LOVE some standing desks to help those eliminate the obstacles getting in their way so they can learn best. The less they are distracted and fidgeting, the more energy there is to focus on what they're trying to do. Taking away obstacle to learning also lets them see how fun learning can be. I also would love some Scrabble games to show that using language doesn't have to be boring. In fact, sophisticated language can be fun! Scrabble games are a hands on way to reinforce language skills in a way that is entertaining - and not strictly classroom related.
