I'm seeking to obtain enough copies of Albert Camus' The Plague for each senior in my AP English Literature class to get a copy. At the present moment, I'm facing a lack of class sets of novels, and I would particularly like to read this work as a whole class. The Plague is a favorite of mine due to its engagement with political and philosophical issues in a way that lends itself to deeper analysis and discussion, while also being readily accessible to readers. I would be thrilled to be able to discuss the text with my class, and engage in the kind of rich conversations I believe we could have with this novel. At the moment, we just started a unit on poetry. I would like to get this class set by January, if possible, in order to have them for our next long fiction unit.
