The carpet and beanbag seat I have in my classroom are used daily for independent reading, full-group lessons, free choice, and Quiet Time. Additionally, students request to sit on a beanbag if they need to take a break or calm down throughout the school day. Students learn best when the environment is clean and comfortable! With a new carpet that is big enough for all students, we will no longer have kids sitting on the tile floor or half-on/half-off like we do now. When we gather to enjoy a new story or hold a class meeting, everyone will have room.
