Help me give my students incentives to motivate them to reach reading goals. Each year I challenge students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade to participate in the Bluebonnet Reading Club by setting a reading goal and meeting it. Students must read at least 5 of the 20 books on the Bluebonnet Master list by the last week of January. Those who meet this goal get to vote for their favorite book and attend the Bluebonnet Celebration at the end of the year where they are rewarded with a certificate and reading incentives and rewards for their hard work and accomplishments.
