Putting together my very first classroom, I was astonished by the lack of whiteboards. Myself and many teachers were in search of a clean, functional whiteboard. I had found something that would work for the moment. It was warped, scratched, non-magnetic, and wouldn't wipe clean. We use the whiteboard daily during our lessons, and it can be frustrating to the students when work will not fully erase, and markings will not disappear. Having new magnetic whiteboards would give my students the opportunity to write and solve equations on a clean, bright surface. I would also have the opportunity to pin my materials directly on the board, instead of taping. I am requesting three magnetic whiteboards, one to use in my classroom and the other two for my neighboring classrooms. Your donations will not only reach my classroom, but to two other teachers who will not have to search the school grounds for a white board again.
