As part of my job working with these little ones, I have to evaluate their communication skills. As many of them are non-verbal or exhibit limited verbal expression, I am required to find alternative ways to assess their communication skills. Often , that means using low tech (pictures) to high tech speech generating devices to meet this requirement. Use of the iPad and different voice output applications will give me the tools I need to help my students find their voice. The iPad is a proven device to meet their needs at a reasonable price. Help me make this happen!
