Every science lesson in all grades K-5 can be taught outside in the bird habitat. The Time For Kids nonfiction readers will be used to tie into our science, math , and writing curriculum. Learning outside we will make daily connections using our five senses. Students are more willing to learn and participate with the daily STEM idea cards and journals. The use of the STEM materials will get students up and moving, which builds teamwork and self esteem. Students retain their learning because they are actively involved. Success is seeing students complete STEM as a team. Smiles for miles!
