Students have a propensity for better learning if they are given time to decompress and relax during their down time at school. This zen space removes them from distracting study hall circumstances and stress inducing electronics. When they enter this calming space with its essential oil diffuser, calm lighting, and comfortable seating, they are able to let go of the day's stresses; some of these students do not have the opportunity to destress even at home. If students are to learn to the best of their ability, they need to release the stressors of both school and home. Please help make this a reality for my students.
