These engaging fiction and nonfiction books will be used in class in guided reading lessons. Through these lessons students will learn to identify and read high frequency words, while learning how to decode unfamiliar words. Students will then have an opportunity to build their fluency as they practice reading these books independently in class and at home. These "early readers" will foster a love for reading while building sight word knowledge, decoding skills, and fluency. Thank you for considering our DonorsChoose project, your contribution will greatly benefit our classroom and the future of my students as they become readers.
