Currently, I am teaching reading virtually to 4 different 1st-grade classes. By building my classroom library, I will be able to enhance my students' love of reading. Although I am online, my students benefit from hearing the stories from my mouth and watching the words as I point to them under my document camera. Students not only get to engage in the story they are also building their vocabulary. My students enjoy interacting with each and every story I read to them and the best way to do that is having the physical printed books. It is important that students have the ability to interact with the story even virtually and printed books give them the opportunity to do so. My students' love for learning and reading is what strived this project. I want to continue to give them the best reading lessons even if we are virtual.
