I'm very fortunate to take on a new course this year, 10,000 Things You Didn't Know! This course is open as an elective to any student in grades 10-12. We will cover people, events, and places commonly glossed over throughout World and United States History. 10,000 Things will give voice to the voiceless, expose moments otherwise misunderstood or forgotten in history, and develop a sense of exploration as we move throughout history. In this book and the discussions that will come as a result, the students will see themselves through historical stories and learn that they can also battle giants. Malcolm Gladwell is fantastic author, by reading his book "David and Goliath" my students will see how seemly random historic events truly do connect and impact each other. With this classroom set of books our students will be able to deepen their learning on historical underdogs and how they battled giants.
