In math, I like to do creative and interesting projects that relate directly to the math we are learning, not just worksheets. They help the students retain the information better because they are more interesting and relate to how math ties into the real world. When I do real-world math projects with my students, I see many of them that are struggling in math grasp concepts they did not understand previously. They also begin to make deep connections to previously taught math concepts and develop an appreciation for how seeming abstract math concepts actually tie into their own lives.
