Although each laboratory investigation is different, in Chemistry and AP Chemistry, many activities require the students to use electronic balances to measure the mass of the reactants and/or products. A lack of equipment can make or break a laboratory investigation. Without the proper amount of equipment, some students become spectators instead of players. Students learn best when they are actively involved. Each class period is approximately 50 minutes long. In order to maximize student engagement and make the most of our time, it is important that we have the proper amount of equipment to carry out each of our investigations.
