For this project, I am asking for enough scientific calculators for my students to use at home. One of my main goals as a Math teacher is to be able to provide enough classroom supplies for all of my students, both hybrid and remote. The use of calculators is almost a daily activity in my 7th grade math classroom. The calculators allow them to compute things in a timely manner that, without a calculator, could be time consuming and leave them to make simple mistakes. Having the calculators available for simple computational items will give some of them the confidence needed to move forward with their work. Because their last school year was cut short and basic skills have not been practiced regularly, I feel that these calculators are a necessity at this point.
