I will provide a middle school bookshelf in my classroom so that the students have their own space to browse through the books and read alone or with their peers. The students will read the Hi-Lo books and graphic novels in class with partners and will also have the opportunity to check out and read the books at home. This will make a difference in my students' learning because they will enjoy reading these books while increasing their fluency and reading comprehension. Both the Hi-Lo books and graphic novels look like regular middle school books, so their reading choices blend in with what their peers are reading and do not appear as easy reader primary books. This will help to provide a positive reading experience for the students.
