In January I will be a first year teacher teaching little Pre-K babies! I am so excited! In order to enhance my students' learning and overall classroom experience, I would love to provide them with the opportunity to get more organized, as well as provide flexible seating at various stations in my room. Flexible seating will allow my students to work in different areas within the classroom with new seating, which will enhance their attention, allow them to work on decision-making skills, and helps them feel some degree of control over their environment. I know that Pre-K students need to be in control of their environment and in a sense flexible seating will allow students to be in control of the environment they choose. Line up spots will be great for the students because not only do they have positive notes I can read to children to encourage a positive vibe in the classroom. I can also teach children how to line up correctly in line.
