By having a classroom rug, my students will have their own personal "leaf" to sit on while learning to read, participating in games with peers, and while dancing! During our morning meeting, they are learning social skills and engaging with their peers by greeting each other. Throughout the day, we have a yoga session to help our most active learners calm their bodies to focus and engage in academic experiences! Also, they need a place to put their coats and backpacks while they are at school. By having their own cubby, they can learn to be responsible for their personal belongings.

About my class
