Reading can be a difficult task, especially with all the tricks the English language like to play. In order to get our students prepared for these tricks, they must learn the basics of decoding. With these activity sets, sentence strips and other materials, our students will be able to practice and grapple with the concept appropriately and effectively. Perseverance is key! With these supports in place, I believe our students will have a better approach to reading because they have practiced the necessary skills to help themselves during independent or group reading. This journey has been challenging but our students refuse to give up. I can't wait to see where these materials take them!
