I want to purchase several sets of books by Mo Willems. I want to order six of each book so that my small group will be able to explore lots of different books from one author. I want to encourage my second graders to read different books by one author and compare the story elements between stories like characters, setting, problems and solution. I want use these books to get my students to have a passion for reading. After doing an author study my students will work together to research the author and then create a poster sharing information they learned about the author and his books. They will also write a letter to the author sharing their opinions on the books including their favorite character or book and any questions they have for the author.
