Every one of our students is given an iPad to use for homework and assignments, however, there are a few issues that arise with those iPads, which are several years old now. Many of them have a short battery life and have to be regularly charged for students to be able to use them in every class. Often student iPads die during the day, which means they either have to try and do assignments on their phones (which often are not compatible) or they have to wait until they go home to charge their iPads and do the work. Having charging stations would mean that they can have their iPads charged at all times and would remove the challenge of iPads dying regularly. Since we are such a large school, there are many English teachers who share a set of novels. This means that if one teacher is using them, you often have to change your calendar to fit a novel into a different portion of the semester. Having my own class set of the two major novels that I teach would mean no interruptions to lesson plans because the books are not available.
