We have just introduced Ceramic Classes at the High School that I teach at. I have been teaching the fundamentals of hand-building but, many of my students are interested in learning about throwing on a wheel in addition to the hand-building skills. For many of the students, this is the first time they have ever been able to work in clay in the 12 or so years they have been in school. I am always amazed and excited to teach the students new clay techniques because of their level of engagement and willingness to leave their comfort zone in order to learn new things Through your donations, students will get to learn how to better work spontaneously within their art making, practice mindfulness and decrease their stress levels through the use of pottery wheels.
