In my language arts classroom we explore books through independent reading, book groups, and as a whole class. By expanding the titles I can provide, I am able to hook all students including my reluctant readers so we all grow into life-long learners. All students deserve the right to see themselves on the pages of a book along with exploring worlds they didn't even know existed. When struggling readers get connected with books they increase their engagement tremendously leading to a more successful student. These books will help me reach 6th grade state standards through the synthesis of multiple genres.

About my class
