Several of my students struggle with reading and reading comprehension. Headphones will allow them to hear things being read to them and subsequently improve their reading skills. My students work in small group stations and on independent tasks every day. I am not always available at the moment to help them decode or decipher words. Headphones will allow them to hear the content being read when they are working through a technology station. In fourth grade, Math problems have an increased focus on reading comprehension. Students are no longer asked to complete simple computation tasks but instead must decipher meaning through complex word problems. These headphones will aid my students in word problem comprehension.
