While we do have some technology tools in my school to help limit our paper needs, I do not have enough to provide my whole class with working materials. Writing out your answers and looking through your work is a fundamental part of math learning. Without paper it can be difficult to provide students with diagrams and examples for them to reference during their practice. Because of this it has become a struggle to keep my students engaged and following the complex steps and sequences of what we are learning every day. Regents problems, reviews and practice all takes paper.
